The Battlecry version makes a tough knife look even tougher with a black finish on the blade, pommel, and guard. This knife was designed to be big, intimidating, and effective against threats existing in the American wilderness - 4 or 2-legged. The long blade is designed for quickness and forged from 1075 high carbon steel and arrives sharp right out of the box. The blade has a full profile tang for strength and durability and incorporates a traditional Mediterranean notch on the ricasso. The handle is straightforward, with a downkick at the butt, has a lanyard hole, and is stained a stealthy deep black/brown. The blade steel, designed specifically to be used, has a darkened, battle-hardened finish tempered to a low 50s RC. The Battlecry Bowie has a 1075 high carbon steel blade tempered to a low 50s RC. Matching scabbard, and certificate of authenticity included. Includes a matching belt sheath with frontier-style embossing and a leather leg tie. These battle tested weapons have a stone washed, blackened finish. The dark patina protects the blade from rust spots and stains that occur so often from everyday practice and exposure to the elements.
