The mug’s artwork was taken from Tove Jansson’s book Moominland Midwinter. Moomintroll is wandering around the Moominhouse, after waking up from hibernation, while Moominmamma and Moominpappa remain asleep. The Hibernation mug’s artwork stands out from the other Winter season mugs being the only one set indoors. The artwork was also shown in Finnish Design exhibition in Japan in 2017.
