Description of the Product Highlander is an epic tale of Connor MacLeod, a Scottish Highlander. He meets Ramírez, a Spanish swordsman, who tells him they both possess a Kind of Magic and are immortal, and can only be killed by beheading. As there can be only one, they must behead other immortals in order to absorb their powers. Ramirez is duly beheaded by their arch nemesis Kurgan, "the strongest of all immortals and the most cruel of warriors". Connor MacLeod is left alone, wondering Who Wants to Live Forever. Many centuries, and swordfights later, the ultimate showdown between Connor MacLeod and Kurgan takes place in 1980’s New York. Will evil win once and for all, or will Connor be able bring peace, understanding and co-operation to humanity? During his life, spanning several centuries, Connor MacLeod only uses two different swords: the first one was this Scottish longsword, with his family name MacLeod engraved on the hilt. After his mentor, Ramírez, is killed, Connor adopts Ramírez's katana to use as his own, and leaves the MacLeod sword to mark the burial place of his murdered wife. This longsword is an authentic replica from the 1986 movie Highlander - The Last Immortal. A superb sword and a must have for any Highlander fan and movie sword collector.
